Terms & Conditions Make an EnquiryOn arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, your guide will be waiting for you at the arriving hall with your name on a signboard. drive to Windhoek Namibia’s capital city situated in the Khomas Hochland plateau area between the Auas and Eros mountain ranges. It sits at 1,600 metres above sea level and it is the 12th highest capital in the world, with a population of about 400’000 people at a low density of only 63 people per square kilometres.
After a short stop in Windhoek, we start making our way to our first destination through the Khomas Highland and down to the escarpment via one of the scenic mountains passes into the Namib Desert. We will arrive at our accommodation in the afternoon with enough time to cool off right in time before dinner.
Excursion to Sossusvlei dune fields, Dune45, Deadvlei and Big Daddy. Deadvlei was once an oasis packed with Acacias trees, fed by a river that suddenly changed course, leaving the earth to dry up together with the trees it previously supported. Deadvlei is now a famous cracked clay pan filled with beautiful intricate shaped dead tree (about 900 years ago), surrounded by giant red dunes. This experience will surely stay with you forever. Once explored all this surrounding area, we then go back to our Lodge in the afternoon, and the day will be at leisure, relax at the pool or enjoy the afternoon nap! Depart to Swakopmund through Namib Naukluft Park, passing fantastic rock formation and ever-changing landscape. Leisure stop at Walvisbay to enjoy the sight of the flamingos and other birds’ species on the lagoon. Walvisbay is Namibia’s main harbour town, well know for its prolific bird life. The lagoon and salt pan are the most important coastal wetland in Southern Africa, as over 150,000 migrant birds spend the summer there and more than 50’000 in winter. Afterward, proceed to Swakopmund and check- in our hotel. Today’s dinner is at one of the best eateries in town. Swakopmund was found in 1892 by captain Curt von Francois as the main harbour town for the imperial Germany colonial government, while the deep-sea harbour at Walvisbay belonged to the British at that time.
The day is at your disposal, take part in many of the following optional activities on offer, such as Sandwich harbour tour to experience where the hot Namib Desert meet the cold Atlantic Ocean, Board Cruiser with oyster and sparkling wine on board, kayaking alongside the seal, Sky diving, Scenic flight over the skeleton coast, Quad biking in the dunes, Living Desert tour and many more. Today we travel northward along the coastline via the small town of Henties bay, visiting one of the shipwrecks in the area, afterward we will turn inland through Damaraland passing Namibia’s highest mountain Brandberg at 2,573 metres above sea level. Few stops along the way for photos and supplies. We will arrive at our accommodation late afternoon, with enough time to freshen up before dinner. Overnight stay with dinner and breakfast.
An exciting full day of game drive inside the park, visiting numerous waterholes that attract a large number of wildlife and bird species. Etosha hosts 114 mammals and 340 bird species, it boasts some of Africa’s best wildlife viewing opportunities and it is home to four of the Africa’s big five such as Lions, Leopards, Elephants and Rhinos, and many other species of antelopes. Overnight stay with dinner and breakfast.
