Today we travel through some tiny rural communities along the way. The scenery is harsh and sometime forbidding, the process of erosion in these areas is well advanced and we pass time rounded ‘koppies’ arid terrain outcrops of tortured rock. The terrain begins to change as we cross some open grass savannah and farmland before it starts to give ways to the immense red sand dunes of the Namib. Overnight stay at one of the safari lodge in the area where black rhinos reside, in the evening right before dinner they (rhinos) visit the waterhole in front of our restaurant a distance of about 10 meters. Surely, an experience which will stay with the guest forever.
